New Years Revolution Preview

With less than 24 hours to go until #NewYearsRevolution, we run down the card for the night in our return to Guildford, in no particular order.

1. MORE THAN HYPE vs. THE LEGION

New Years Revolution is an important night for THE LEGION so they will want to start strong against Revolution Pro debutants MORE THAN HYPE. MORE THAN HYPE (the team of LJ CLEARY, NATHAN MARTIN, and DARREN KEARNEY) will want to start strong in RevPro and arguably the best way to do that is to defeat the undefeated team in tag team action in THE LEGION (the team of SHA SAMUELS, THE 'DOMINATOR' GREAT O-KHARN, and RAMPAGE BROWN).

2. ROBBIE X vs. RICKY KNIGHT JR.

The Speedking Champion takes on the innovator of excellence in a non-title match! In what is sure to be an incredibly fast-paced, high-flying match, will ROBBIE X be able to defeat RKJ and be able to get a shot at the Speedking Championship, or will RICKY KNIGHT JR. continue his winning ways in singles action?

3. DAN MOLONEY vs. CARLOS ROMO

With two different styles going against each other, RevPro mainstays DAN MOLONEY and CARLOS ROMO will both be looking for a win, but for different reasons. MOLONEY will be looking to build momentum ahead of his monster clash against JEFF COBB at High Stakes, whereas ROMO will be looking for some momentum as he has only been able to pick up one win since his match against former tag team partner A-KID at the 7 Year Anniversary show.

4. ROB LIAS vs. TK COOPER - NO DISQUALIFICATION MATCH

The 'Gob' takes on the 'Headbutt Messiah' in a no disqualification match. After an incredibly heated rivalry that started all the way back in May at Epic Encounter, when LIAS wiped out COOPER backstage so he could not compete in the scramble match that night, with COOPER to come out later, only for LIAS to still pick up the victory. Since then the rivalry has only become more intense, with LIAS once using a brick to blindside COOPER and leave him unconscious in the ring. COOPER would come out at later shows and would distract LIAS quashing some of his momentum. Will LIAS bring the brick back and be able to keep COOPER down for the three count, or will the 'Headbutt Messiah' prove too much for the 'Gob'?

5. UNDISPUTED WOMENS CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH - GISELE SHAW vs. ZOE LUCAS (c)

One of the two championship matches of the night, the undefeated GISELE SHAW goes one on one with the longest reigning current champion in Revolution Pro, ZOE LUCAS, for the Undisputed Women's Championship! SHAW holds a non-title victory over LUCAS from June, since then, the Quintessential diva has gone from strength to strength in Revolution Pro, holding victories over the likes of international superstars such as TESSA BLANCHARD and SHANNA. However, LUCAS has proven before that she will do anything to keep hold of her 'bae'. Will SHAW be able to keep her undefeated streak going and pry the title away from LUCAS, or will LUCAS keep her 'bae' by her side through whatever means necessary.

6. SOUTHSIDE HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH - THE LEGIONNAIRE vs. SEAN KUSTOM (c)

The second match of the night for THE LEGION will be their biggest match since their Undisputed British Tag Team titles win. With LORD GIDEON GREY promising to reveal who THE LEGIONNAIRE is at the #NewYearsRevolution, KUSTOM will have no idea who is underneath the apparel until he is out in the ring. As champion, KUSTOM will have a natural advantage as well as the backing from the fans. KUSTOM has shown he can already go toe-to-toe with LEGION member and former Undisputed British Heavyweight Champion SHA SAMUELS. Will the confidence of his previous victory over SAMUELS help him in defeating the unknown LEGION member, or will THE LEGION'S numbers and the uncertainty of the unidentified LEGIONNAIRE prove too much for KUSTOM.

7. EL PHANTASMO AND HIKULEO (BULLET CLUB) vs. MICHAEL OKU AND SHOTA UMINO

In a tag team match that already has a lot of history going into it, could it determine what is to come? With the most important match of MICHAEL OKU's career coming round the corner against Undisputed British Cruiserweight Champion EL PHANTASMO and both wrestlers at one apiece in singles action against each other, will this match give us some indication of how their Championship bout might play out? The Master of the Half-crab and 'Shooter' SHOTA UMINO both have history with the 6'8" Bullet Club young gun HIKULEO, with OKU defeating HIKULEO in OKU's second victory at the time. UMINO also challenged HIKULEO to a match at Uprising 2019 after rushing the ring to come to the aid of SENZA VOLTO at the British J-Cup 2019. With so much tension in this match before the bell has even rung, which team will be able to keep their cool and come out victorious.

8. KYLE FLETCHER vs. SHINGO TAKAGI

The 'Aussie Arrow' vs the 'Dragon'! In what is arguably the biggest match in his singles career in Revolution Pro, KYLE FLETCHER goes one on one with Los Ingobernables de Japon member and one-third of the NEVER Openweight Six-man Tag Team Champions, SHINGO TAKAGI! Ahead of this match, FLETCHER will know not to take TAKAGI lightly. In his first full year for New Japan Pro Wrestling, TAKAGI has taken no prisoners, with a dominant display in his Best of the Super Juniors tournament debut with no losses in his block, only losing in the final to then eventual IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion WILL OSPREAY. FLETCHER has grown from strength to strength in singles matches since the unfortunate injury to AUSSIE OPEN partner MARK DAVIS, with FLETCHER picking up impressive singles victories against the likes of MAO, CARLOS ROMO, and SHOTA UMINO. Can FLETCHER pull out the singles performance of his career, or will the dominant TAKAGI prove too much for the 'Aussie Arrow'?
