After a huge start to 2020 which saw him pick up big wins over the likes of Rhyno & Jeff Cobb, the undefeated Dan Moloney looked set to cement himself right at the top of RevPro single rankings with the British Heavyweight Championship at the very top of his list of priorities. But of course, all that momentum came at to a screeching halt in March when the country went into lockdown.
Now 5 months later the Drilla is released and gets his chance to pick up where he left off and to say he is fired up about this opportunity is an understatement. Moloney lives for professional wrestling and lives for the competition it brings and this Sunday we’ll get to see him get some real competition against a very different prospect in form of Callum Newman.
Newman may well be one of the brightest young stars in British wrestling, capable of doing things that people thought were only possible in video games. A young man who has the potential to be a world beater, the question remains will ‘The Prince of Pace’ be able to fulfil that potential? One thing for sure is that win, lose or draw a step up in competition will help push the youngster to find out exactly what he is made of.
With a wrestling ring literally set up in his back garden, Newman has been training every day and feels that will give him the edge on his bigger, stronger, more experienced opponent. Many people are speculating that Moloney could also be looking past Callum Newman, with one eye on the Undisputed British Heavyweight Championship. Could these factors combined lead us to a huge upset?
This is certainly an intriguing contest. It’s Speed Vs Power, Youth Vs Experience, it’s Newman Vs Moloney and you can catch all the action Sunday on Fite!
